Biography
Graduation in Civil Engineering at the University of Sao Paulo (1982), specialization in Soil Mechanics at the Federal Polytechnic School in Zurich (1986), M.Sc. in Geotechnical Engineering at the University of Sao Paulo (1990), and D.Sc. in Geotechnical Engineering at the University of Sao Paulo (1997). Full professor at the University of São Paulo. Participation in the Civil Engineering and Environmental Graduation Courses and in the Civil Engineering Post-Graduation Program. Development of research on Environmental Geotechnics. Member of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering.
Research Interest
pollutant migration, tropical soils, waste landfills, reuse of wastes, remediation of contaminated land.
